REDWOOD CITY, CA: Openwave has chosen The Hoffman Agency as its new
agency of record.
The telecommunications software company, which was formed last year
after Software.com and Phone.com merged, previously retained PR21.
"We are very excited about the opportunity to work with a great company
like Openwave," said Susan Baldwin, EVP with Hoffman. "We have a lot of
ideas about how to reach Openwave's target audiences."
Last week, Openwave reported that it had met reduced analyst
expectations, posting a $170.5 million loss for the first three
months ending September 30. The company also cut 300 jobs.
Hoffman recently launched an online communications practice, and has
been increasing its focus on results measurement. In April, the firm was
chosen to work on the storage and semiconductor business of Sony
Electronics.
