LANHAM, MD: Privately held Vocus, a public relations automation
company, has announced 154% growth in year-on-year sales for the third
quarter.
From the second quarter to the third quarter this year, the company
reported 25% growth.
Sales included 172 deals for the quarter, 74 of which were with new
customers.
They include Morgan Stanley, as well as PR giants Edelman and Hill &
Knowlton.
For the year, the company has added over 200 new customers, bringing its
total number of clients to 800 corporations.
Rick Rudman, Vocus CEO, said he forecasted continued growth if his
company can keep up with the changing PR industry.
"Three years from now, the public relations service offering will be
dramatically different," said Rudman. "The new mix of PR services will
incorporate elements of knowledge management, direct marketing,
publishing, business intelligence, and internet strategy."
