DAYTON, OH: LexisNexis has changed its Press Access suite of
solutions for public relations professionals in name and in content.
Now known as PR Solutions from LexisNexis, the web-based software
solution has expanded its online database by more than 1,000 media
outlets. The company says it plans to grow by more than 1,000% by April
2002 to post more than 12,000 publications, organizations, and media
outlets, and more than 30,000 contact names. The service is also linked
to a news database so PR people can learn about journalists, and then
read their recent articles.
Rochelle Nemrow, VP of PR solutions for LexisNexis, said the mere fact
that a company as large as LexisNexis has targeted the PR market is
significant.
"In the past, PR people weren't the prime candidates for investments,"
said Nemrow, who was a Press Access founder, and sold the company to
LexisNexis last year. "Now you've got a really big company focused on
this market, and that can only be good."
Nemrow said LexisNexis has made no price increases to correspond with
the database expansions.
