LONDON: Jo Moore, a British PR exec who sent an e-mail on
September 11 saying the day would be a good one to bury bad news, has
been moved to a new job.
Moore, formerly head of the press desk at the transport department, now
holds a policy role, but retains her nearly $100,000 (£70,000) salary.
Former BBC Moscow correspondent Martin Sixsmith will take her old job at
a salary of $141,000 (£100,000).
Britons, including shadow transport secretary Theresa May, voiced their
anger over Moore's job switch - as opposed to her dismissal - to local
tabloid The Mirror. In a public apology, Moore said she wishes she had
never sent the e-mail.
