PR head will unify Vivendi e-brands

NEW YORK: Vivendi Universal Net USA (VU Net), the new internet and

technology branch of the entertainment conglomerate, has appointed

Laurie Rubenstein SVP of PR.

The appointment puts Rubenstein at the head of a new PR department

charged with creating a unified image for Vivendi's most recent

endeavor, as well as maintaining the brand identities of the umbrella

company's affiliates.

Established in November 2001, VU Net was formed to roll all of Vivendi's

US internet operations under a single management structure. Vivendi owns

"Each of the properties has developed such a strong brand and loyal

customer base, that it's very important for us to continue those brand

identities," Rubenstein said.

She added that there will be upcoming efforts to brand VU Net as

corporate announcements and product-specific announcements," she
