On that note, RF Binder has been doing an interesting sideline in
research on use of the words "public relations" in The New York Times.
In June, the paper was making an average of two non-negative mentions of
PR per day. That was up to 2.5 in July, and four in August. In September
it rose to 5.5, then seven in October, and eight in November. Alright,
so this is one paper in one city, but perhaps, just perhaps, the current
climate has grown journalists' appreciation of the profession.
