Clipping services launch web effort

NEW YORK: VMS monitoring has paired with Burrelle's Information

Services, and the two companies are expected to soon announce the launch

of joint product Forecast, a web-based platform that retrieves,

organizes, and analyzes media coverage.

Forecast will appear as an icon on user desktops, and its purpose is to

increase the ease and convenience of news monitoring.

The product will feature news from over 16,000 publications, 1,000

broadcast stations, and 3,000 websites and news groups. Broadcast

segments can be digitally delivered and viewed using standard media

software such as Windows Media Player or Real Player. Content can also

be archived and referenced through a keyword search or user-defined


Golin/Harris International is assisting with the launch.
