WSW divvies up Molotsky's duties

CHICAGO: Less than four months after unveiling its new management

structure, Weber Shandwick Worldwide has bought out the contract of

Barbara Molotsky, president/COO for the North America central

region.

Molotsky, who cited the recession as a cause for her departure, had run

BSMG's Chicago office for 13 years and grown it from 13 people to 140 at

the time of the BSMG-WSW merger last year. WSW has no plans to fill her

post.

Cathy Calhoun, president of WSW's Chicago office for the past two years,

will take over Molotsky's duties in Chicago. Additionally, the St. Louis

office will report to Calhoun, who will report to Andy Polansky,

chairman of global practice areas and president and COO of the North

America Eastern region. The other offices that had reported to Molotsky

- Chicago, Dallas, and Minneapolis - will report directly to

Polansky.

Initial plans at the time of the merger had the global consumer practice

reporting to Molotsky, although a WSW spokesperson said that had not

been the case (PRWeek, October 15, 2001).
