BOSTON: Beginning next quarter, Fair Disclosure Financial Network (FDFN) says it will be the first company to offer full-text, interactive transcripts of corporate earnings conference calls. The transcripts will be available for all companies listed in the Nasdaq 100, TSE 100, S&P SuperComposite 1500, and 500 additional companies.

A transcript will begin streaming about 20 minutes after a call begins.

FDFN plans for transcripts to be available for download as plain text documents, or, once a call is over, downloaded as a clickable document able to play selected audio portions of the call.

"With up to 400 earnings calls in a day, our professional investment clients need broad coverage,

says Kevin Gass, FDFN's VP of marketing and communications. "Text is the most efficient method of storing and searching this information."

A study conducted last year by the Association for Investment Management and Research found that 36% of respondents rated transcripts of past earnings calls as the most valuable information that companies could supply - second only to 41%, who rated SEC filings most valuable.
