DAYTON, OH: LexisNexis has expanded its PRanywhere product, a subsection of the company's PR Solutions service, by adding Bacon's media contact information.PRanywhere, formally known as Press Access before it was acquired by LexisNexis in September 2000, provides industry professionals with media contact information, news articles, and editorial profiles and calendars.
With this new update, for an additional cost, users can also tap into Bacon's data, which allows them to access more than 350,000 editorial contacts at over 70,000 newspaper, magazine, internet, radio, and television outlets.
Tom Derry, general manager of PR Solutions, said that the inclusion of Bacon's information was the result of feedback from customers requesting more in-depth media outlets. "We did not want to make them wait,
he said, adding that linking with Bacon's allowed LexisNexis to offer immediate, "targeted services to PR professionals
who have steadily been a strong part of the company's client base.
Among other recent elements of the "steady drum beat of product improvements,
as described by Derry, are the addition of links to full-text nexis.com articles in November 2001, as well as overall decreased data response time and enhanced topics lists.
