NEW YORK: A week after unveiling its plans to assume control of fellow Havas-network member Arnold Public Relations, Magnet Communications has swallowed up another PR shop.On March 18, the agency announced the acquisition of Hauser Bragg Communications (HBC), a 10-person, independent Chicago agency specializing in consumer healthcare, sports and fitness, and hospitality accounts.
"Last year, we figured out how to knit together the various entities that came together to form Magnet,
said CEO David Kratz. "We're now able to focus on real outward growth again.
"Once you get the gravity of something like this together, it becomes much easier to make the incremental moves,
he added. "When we make an acquisition, we're teaching their employees new systems - not developing them from scratch."
