LONDON: Now is a good time to consider investing in Argentina, WPP Group chairman and CEO Sir Martin Sorrell has said during a visit to the country.Argentina has been rocked by financial scandals, culminating in riots and many presidential resignations. The peso has plummeted in value and Argentine banks have prevented customers from withdrawing funds.
However, Sorrell has said that it was a good time to consider investing in the country "because clearly, when people are gloomy there are more opportunities."
WPP, the world's second-largest advertising services company, currently sees $1.1 billion in revenues from Latin America, Canada, Asia-Pacific and Africa, and the Middle East, with Argentina generating about 1.5% of worldwide income. Sorrell wouldn't reveal his plans for expansion in the country.
