NEW YORK: The top tier of Edelman's tech division is undergoing a radical reorganization, with last week's announcement of a new international practice leader in London, and the resignation of Larry Sennett, its global head, based on the West Coast.

Based in London and reporting to president of international operations Alison Canning, Carlo Crighton has joined Edelman, as international practice leader of technology, from Text 100. He will be responsible for all non-US regions.

Following Sennett's resignation, the position of global technology leader will no longer exist. Instead, regional managers will serve on a global coordinating committee with no tech-centric figurehead.

Sennett joined from Ogilvy just nine months ago. He had been there for six months, after leaving Hewlett-Packard.

Sennett is now working on a number of projects, and is evaluating whether he will pursue independent work in the long term. Under the terms of his departure from Edelman, he will supervise a handover period with Crighton and other tech managers.
