ATLANTA: The Home Depot is sponsoring the "Declaration of Independence Road Trip, and has Ketchum, MS&L, and Porter Novelli vying to promote it.
The three firms will make their final pitches next week. According to agency insiders, at stake is a two-year, $2 million-$3 million, multi-platform project.

Famed Hollywood producer Norman Lear, who owns an original copy of the national document, conceived the idea of the road trip to celebrate the 225th anniversary of its signing. The tour launched from the steps of the Jefferson Memorial in Washington, DC on July 3 last year, and was later expanded to include an interactive exhibit, "Freedom's Journey: The Declaration of Independence and Beyond
at the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics.
