Describe the space you work in. - I have some mismatched office furniture with an old shelf we took from another area of the department. We dusted it and propped it up with notebooks to make it stand. The walls are decorated with collages of photos and different shades of orange - my favorite color. I have photos everywhere and my desk is full of "organized stacks of paper.

Do you socialize with your colleagues? All the time! We are a tight group, so drinks are always top priority after work. We also try out different recipes on each other.

How often do you see your boss? Every day. If one of us is out of town, I talk with her on the phone. We have a small group, so we see each other every day.

Who is the smartest person you work with? Melanie Jones has the coolest job here and has an incredibly creative mind. She can come up with an awesome idea in seconds. She's amazing.

Who is the craziest person you work with? Gretchen. She is from Oklahoma and asked for a donkey for Christmas. She keeps us rolling with stories from Oklahoma. She reminds me of Rose from The Golden Girls, but much younger.

What is the best thing about working there? The support from my coworkers. They do everything from editing my work to helping me research special projects. We are all lucky to have each other.

What is the worst thing about working there? I work with 15 people, 14 of them being female. Needless to say, meetings are definitely spicy when PMS rolls around.

What is the biggest thing to hit your office in the past year? Being in the airline industry, September 11 was quite a time for us. We handled endless media calls during the crisis. It was uncharted territory for Southwest because we had never been "closed before. The attacks touched us all very deeply.
