NEW YORK: PWC Consulting, the business consulting unit of accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers, will rebrand itself as Monday after its IPO.
The IPO, tentatively scheduled for this summer, will split the company from its accounting parent.
The firm acknowledged that the new name left many scratching their heads.
"As with any new name introduction, there's bound to be a wide range of responses, said Sehra Eusufzai, a PWC spokeswoman. "Monday represents a fresh start, a new beginning, rolling up your sleeves and getting to work."
PWC has been working closely with UK-based branding firm Wolff Olins on the project. PR firm Gavin Anderson will handle financial communications leading up to the IPO.
