MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA: PlaceWare has chosen Phase Two Strategies as its agency of record following a review with eight contenders.
The company provides hosted-meeting and web-conferencing services over the internet. Phase Two already uses PlaceWare technology for sales and training. "They literally are providing a platform that works the way people want to work, said Christine Boehlke, founder and co-CEO of the agency.
PlaceWare previously retained Neale-May & Partners, and recently brought in a new marketing team that includes Dustin Grosse, VP of strategy and marketing, and Michael Sweeny, director of corporate communications.
Part of PlaceWare's strategy going forward is to target the PR industry, and the company has recently offered a smaller version of its platform online. "There is a real opportunity for PR people to change the quality of interactions by supplying better ways of controlling discussions more fully, Grosse said.
Grosse said all the agencies that pitched the business presented solid and creative strategies. "What led us to select Phase Two is there seemed to be a much better fit with the management team's vision, he said.
He would not disclose the budget, but said that a performance-based structure is built into the fees. "We are structuring it partly on results, so that the agency shares the success of delivering on our goals."
