Just when you thought Orlando would burst from tourist attractions, Dolly Parton has found a way to squeeze one more in.
Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede Dinner & Show will be the area's first new dinner theater attraction in nearly ten years when it opens next May.
The Dixie Stampede group has tapped Orlando's Yesawich, Pepperdine & Brown to publicize the Americana-themed show, and the fine folks there took a crash course in everything Dolly to prepare for the media push and grand opening.
Taking tours of Dollywood and attending the Dixie Stampede in its Pigeon Forge, TN location, the YPB team prepared to promote their new client.
"The folks at Dollywood gave us a lot of support, said Mary Jane Kolassa, VP of PR at YPB, of the visits to both Dollywood and the Dixie Stampede.
Kolassa told PRWeek of their plans for the down-home rodeo, focusing on portraying Parton as an American icon, because of her music and upbeat attitude.
"(The Dixie Stampede show) is everything you think of when you think of Dolly, Kolassa said, "wholesome and interactive."
OK, wholesome we get. But PRWeek can't help but wonder if promising an "interactive experience with Dolly Parton might lead to complaints and claims of false promises?
