NEW YORK: Sabrina Horn, president of The Horn Group, is headed East to New York City.
While the firm's heart and headquarters will remain in San Francisco, Horn is moving to NYC indefinitely to set up and run the new office, which she hopes to open by October. Partner Shannon Hall will run the San Francisco office.
"This has been my baby for at least the past year, said Horn, who will take three people from Boston and a couple from San Francisco to NYC.
"I've been there every month talking with VC firms and analyst firms, trying to understand what the market for technology is (in NYC)."
"The market (on the East Coast) was underserved, said Horn. "A lot of the dot-com agencies went out of business, and the larger firms are either regrouping their tech practices or are not set up to support start-up and emerging technology companies."
Horn already has four new East Coast clients: CapitalThinking, Staffware, firstRain, and Managed Objects.
