SINGAPORE: Oracle has ousted its recently appointed regional PR agency Golin/Harris Forrest just months after handing the account to the firm.
Oracle has shifted to Weber Shandwick Worldwide, which was appointed in Singapore on August 1 - even though the agency is still in the midst of vying for the regional retainer.
Golin/Harris Forrest originally won Oracle from Burson-Marsteller, and had employed several extra staff to work on the account, which involves corporate PR and media relations.
Oracle PR manager Ada Fong alluded only to a search for the right fit as the impetus behind the sudden switch.
Jeff Schultz, Golin/Harris Forrest Southeast Asia MD, negated the possibility of layoffs in the wake of the account loss.
