How long have you been working there? Two years.
the physical space you work in. We try to promote a very creative, yet business-like atmosphere. Our office building has a real variety of businesses - everything from the typical law firm, software consulting firm, and accounting firm to a hair replacement business and a business fashion consultant. Since we try to have an "open door" policy, we get reps from these businesses stopping into our office all the time just to talk and network.
How did you end up in your job? I started my own firm after a great 12-year run as the management head of a radio broadcast group that was responsible for a number of shock-jock success stories (including Howard Stern).
If you could change one thing about your job, what would it be? I'd spend less time at the office, more time pitching potential clients, and even more time with my family.
What has been your most embarrassing moment while working there? Going to the wrong office location for a new business pitch. The door I thought was the entrance to the right office was locked. So, we waited a bit, tried calling them on the phone, then left. Little did I know the executive conference room with the waiting management team was three floors above us.
What is the biggest thing to hit your office in the past year? Opening an account service office in downtown Philadelphia. Great location, great city, great place to start doing business, and a great town to eat cheese steaks at Pats at 2am.
What are you usually thinking about when you're caught daydreaming at your desk? When is the next meeting? When's the next proposal due? When is the next business networking event? And when did I tell somebody to meet me on the tennis court?
What is one thing about you that none of your coworkers know? I'm a closet metal-head and terrible drummer. From Metallica to System Of A Down, rock makes the world go 'round.
Where do you see yourself in five years? Bigger staff, larger billings, smaller waistline, and a better tennis player.
Sneak us a good piece of office gossip. A hi-tech client of ours is dating an area news reporter.
