CHICAGO: Golin/Harris International has created a global healthcare practice and promoted EVP Barbara Box to worldwide director, healthcare, to oversee its new healthcare CORE team. CORE is a Golin acronym for "collaborative organization of resources and expertise."
"It's an expansion of the practice and an expansion of her responsibilities," said Fred Cook, president and chief client officer.
Golin has been working to strengthen global coordination in a variety of practice areas. Healthcare becomes its sixth global practice.
As healthcare mergers continue, clients are increasingly looking for global capabilities, Cook explained. The new global healthcare practice "will facilitate more global work for larger healthcare clients. We're going to see larger pharmaceutical companies looking for global agencies," he said.
