While I was in my last semester at California State University-Chico in the journalism/PR program, I attended an all-day seminar in Sacramento featuring various PR agencies. After the seminar, I introduced myself to Robert Deen, founding partner of Deen+Black Public Relations. He told me to send him my resume when I graduated, which I did three months later.
