Rockettes to feature in American Airlines ad campaign

The Radio City Rockettes feature in an American Airlines PR and ad campaign playing off the airline's "More legroom" tagline. The New York City-area campaign, which runs through December 18, includes a series of events and appearances by the Rockettes and American's "spokeseats." Consumers have the chance to win a trip to London, free tickets on domestic flights, or tickets to Radio City's Christmas Spectacular, if they can correctly guess the New York locations of Rockettes as pictured in ads. Next week, the Rockettes and spokeseats will grace a charity pants drive at the American Airlines Theater on 42nd Street. The Rockettes will mingle with passersby, and pose for photos with people donating new or slightly used pants to benefit AIDS charity The River Fund. Local radio station WPLJ will do a live remote from the event. The effort is being run by American's PR firm Weber Shandwick Worldwide.
