A new political cable channel, America's Voice, has appointed Lorie Stout of the National Cable Television Association to help raise its profile.
Stout, a media relations executive, joins on November 16 as manager of trade marketing. Bob Storin, director of marketing, said: 'Her job is to get the word out in cable to help our quest for distribution. PR is going to play a big part.' The channel, launched in January, is a rival to C-Span, but covers political issues with an emphasis on viewer interaction.
