MICHIGAN: Marx Layne & Company is planning to expand its new information technology division after signing up two new clients within the last month.

The division, headed by John Mozena, will add one employee to a team which is currently staffed by professionals seconded from the company's other departments.

California-based Lyris Technologies and an Internet direct marketing company in Phoenix have already signed on with the new team. Mozena added that he was in talks with at least three further potential clients.

'We will continue to grow the division as it needs to grow,' explained Mozena. 'Our goal is to be recognized as the leading PR agency for information technology.'

Mozena added that he expected future clients to be drawn from across the country as well as from Michigan's own information technology sector.

The new venture will advise clients from a broad range of industries on how to secure coverage in cyberspace.
