STOCKHOLM: Swedish communications giant Ericsson is set to create four regional PR teams in a review of its entire global in-house operation.
The move follows a management review. The PR offices will be located in London, Hong Kong, Miami and a fourth to be confirmed in North America.
The head office remains in Stockholm.
Ericsson press officer Helena Norrman said existing public relations teams could be merged, expanded or cut in the office restructure. Ericsson has a global communications staff of around 200.
The restructure is designed to strengthen the company's customer focus by switching the emphasis from product divisions to customer areas.
Ericsson currently retains Edelman Public Relations Worldwide for its global public relations.
