LONDON: Buckingham Palace has published its communications costs for the first time.
'We are committed to accountability and transparency,' explained communications secretary Simon Lewis.
Last year, the Queen received public funds to pay for communications from both the Central Office of Information (COI) and the Civil List.
The State contributes some dollars 120,000 to Lewis' salary; the rest is paid by Centrica, where he worked before the Palace. Other costs?around dollars 740,000 for the year ending March 31?were paid by the COI.
