NEW YORK: Rowland has added to its slate of offerings by launching a consulting arm, Rowland Consulting.
Headquartered in New York, the new unit will target corporations, institutions, and trade groups that are in a state of flux. Among the likely clients are companies undergoing recapitalization or launching new business ventures.
Eight-year Rowland veteran Anthony Katz, president of the agency's corporate and public affairs practice, will helm the new unit. Donna Ramer, an SVP in The Rowland Company, has been appointed EVP.
Katz said the group will strive to avoid a cookie-cutter approach to communications and marketing. 'CEOs were coming to us saying "We have a lack of satisfaction with silo-based approaches,"' he explained. 'This is a chance to offer something different.'
According to Katz, the consulting group is distinct from Rowland's existing operations because it is staffed with seven consultants worldwide who boast diverse professional backgrounds.
