MOUNT PLEASANT, MI: Central Michigan University, a 25,000-student school, is searching for an associate vice president for PR and marketing.
The successful candidate will oversee a wide range of PR functions, including broadcast media relations, photography, advertising, and sports information.
The AVP will serve as the university's chief media spokesperson. According to the job posting on the university's web site, the candidate 'will continue to develop an integrated, campus-wide approach to public relations and marketing.'
The school is looking for someone with at least five years of PR and marketing experience in a higher-education setting as well as three years of supervisory experience. Resumes are scheduled to be reviewed at the end of the month by the search committee.
Central Michigan was founded in 1895, became a university in 1959 and now has an 854-acre main campus.
