WASHINGTON, DC: Former US representative Rod Chandler has joined Fleishman-Hillard subsidiary R. Duffy Wall (RDW), a government affairs consulting firm, as its new president.
Chandler's arrival gives the firm a top-ranked lobbyist with GOP credentials. FH assumed control of the firm last year when its principal was recovering from a serious illness.
A 10-year veteran of the House who served on the Ways & Means Committee, Chandler had been a partner of former US representative Tom Downey (D-NY) in a lobbying firm. He is now teamed with RDW's chairman and CEO Bill Brewster, a former Democratic congressman from Oklahoma, who also served on that committee.
Brewster said that he had been seeking a 'high visibility Republican to come aboard and add some balance to the firm.'
RDW is officially an FH subsidiary, but recently FH lobbying expert Jack Gregory joined RDW to help identify new business opportunities between the agency and the government affairs firm.
