LOS ANGELES: James Williams has left his director position in Ketchum's Los Angeles office to lead Ogilvy's LA operations.
Williams will become part of Ogilvy's management committee and will report directly to Bob Seltzer, the agency's president and chief executive.
Before joining Ogilvy, Williams managed brand marketing and healthcare accounts at Ketchum, working with clients Mattel and ETM Entertainment Network. Prior to his move to Los Angeles, he headed Ketchum's telecommunications practice from its Washington, DC office.
Williams also served as SVP at DeVries Public Relations in New York and reached VP level with both Hill & Knowlton and Edelman.
Ogilvy remains in the hunt for top-flight personnel to manage its expanding e-business practice. Ogilvy represents several growing online firms, including eToys and Della & James.
