NEW YORK: Shandwick has named James Norman managing director of its reputation management consulting group and has promoted Billee Howard to SVP of its corporate and IR group.

NEW YORK: Shandwick has named James Norman managing director of its reputation management consulting group and has promoted Billee Howard to SVP of its corporate and IR group. Norman previously worked in a consulting role at Banker's Trust. Howard will contribute to Shandwick's work for KPMG's tax practice and the Muriel Siebert & Co. discount brokerage firm.

SALT LAKE CITY: Wall Street Communications has opened an Asian/Pacific HQ in Singapore, its first operation outside the US. Heading up the office will be Audrey Felix, a former journalist who has worked in Singapore for the past five years.

NEW YORK: Interactive toy maverick General Creation has tapped Ruder Finn for a national consumer, trade, and business communications program. The agency will be responsible for launching a line of plush toys for GC.

DALLAS: Akili Systems Group has recruited Beth Miller to the new position of marketing director. Based in Houston, Miller will spearhead a branding campaign for the systems integration company. She was previously director of marketing for the Metamor ITS unit of Metamor Worldwide. Akili is a systems integrator that seeks to improve the business performance of its clients through customized IT solutions.

NEW YORK: Hill & Knowlton has lured marketing and advertising veteran Jonathan Nettelfield into the agency fold. He joins as a senior managing director and deputy director of the New York office.

WASHINGTON, DC: The National Council of Chain Restaurants has selected Boland & Madigan to handle its lobbying efforts.

NEW YORK: The New York Rotary Foundation has established a scholarship to commemorate the life of Norman Weissman, former president of Ruder Finn, who died in May. EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ: The MWW Group has added two senior executives to its staff. Louis Mastria, formerly supervisor of business development for the Port Authority of New York City, joins as public affairs director; and Keith Furlong, formerly a public information officer in the department of law & public safety, joins as legislative director.
