Entertainment Boulevard pegs iAgency as its first outside shop

LOS ANGELES: Entertainment Boulevard, an online provider of entertainment-related video and operator of the popular Vidnet Web site, has tabbed Santa Monica's Interactive Agency (iAgency) as its PR AOR.

LOS ANGELES: Entertainment Boulevard, an online provider of entertainment-related video and operator of the popular Vidnet Web site, has tabbed Santa Monica's Interactive Agency (iAgency) as its PR AOR.

Entertainment Boulevard chose not to disclose the dollar value of the business, though one insider estimated agency fee billings to fall within the dollars 90,000-180,000 range. Within this budget, iAgency has been charged with targeting consumers, the Internet, and entertainment trades and investment communities, said iAgency president Tony Winders.

According to Entertainment Boulevard CEO Stephen Brown, PR had been handled in-house for the past two years, but recent expansion, new channels and increased traffic to the site necessitated the hiring of a full-time PR firm. While he declined to name the other finalists in what he called 'an extensive search,' Brown said iAgency had 'the right mix of both entertainment and Internet technology experience.'

This is the second major new business win in a month for tiny iAgency, which recently bagged the Audiouniverse. com account. The 12-person, four-year-old shop specializes in Interactive entertainment and e-commerce, and has handled past launches for shop.eonline.com, eToys, and cable network HBO's web site, HBO.com.
