NEW YORK: Cosmetics giant Cosmair has made two moves to crank up its communications operations, naming Suzie Davidowitz to the new post of VP of public relations for Cosmair's perfumes and beauty division and Ellen Beth Van Buskirk to the position of VP of corporate communications.

As part of her new role, Davidowitz will be responsible for the company's Lancome brand and will report directly to Luc Nadeau, senior VP and GM of Lancome. Davidowitz, who joined the company in 1981, will also coordinate activity for the fragrance brands of Giorgio Armani and Guy Laroche.

Van Buskirk joins Cosmair from IBM, where she was a marketing officer for the company's telecommunications and media business.

Cosmair is the US arm of France-based beauty giant L'Oreal.
