It also named Peter Prodromou VP, emerging business practice. Prodromou will direct account programming for high-growth technology clients. He joins Weber from CC&D Communications in Boston, where he served as VP of the PR division.

WEST BLOOMFIELD, MI: Proctor Publications has issued a novel on PR entitled A Matter of Precedents by Detroit newspaper and PR veteran Berl Falbaum. Promo for the fictional work describes it as 'a penetrating and disturbing story about corporate America and the media.' Falbaum has operated his own consultancy, Falbaum & Associates, since 1989.

DAYTON, OH: Sudsy Monchik, the 1999 Pro World Raquetball Champion, has selected Flynn, Sabatino & Day to represent him in pursuit of commercial endorsements. MINNEAPOLIS: Morgan & Myers has named Beth Witherspoon and Carrie Jorgensen counselors. Witherspoon was previously chain account executive for food service sales at ConAgra Frozen Foods, while Jorgensen was promoted from senior associate.

TORONTO: Online auction site Bid.com International has named Gregory Bewsh VP of investor relations, a new position. Bewsh was previously director of finance and investor relations at Clearnet Communications, a wireless provider.

ATLANTA: Fleishman-Hillard has promoted Anne Isenhower to managing supervisor and media relations manager of its Atlanta office.

ANNAPOLIS, MD: The Annapolis & Anne Arundel County Conference & Vistors Bureau has named Clare Vanderbeek director of marketing. She was most recently director of communications for the National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Long Term Care Industries.
