Hire-happy Jaffe turns attention to law

WASHINGTON, DC: Jaffe Associates has hired several publicists with an eye on serving that most difficult and demanding clientele: lawyers.

WASHINGTON, DC: Jaffe Associates has hired several publicists with an eye on serving that most difficult and demanding clientele: lawyers.

The Washington-based firm specializes in PR and strategic planning for law firms and operates 'virtual' offices in a number of cities. An office in London, headed by former London Stock Exchange marketing exec Robert Pay, was officially opened last month.

Joshua Peck, director of the PR division, contends the legal market is a potentially huge one for PR. 'Law firms are coming to recognize that they are businesses,' he said.

Jaffe's hires include Michele Keegan and Jayme Soulati (senior publicists); Deborah Knuckey (senior client manager) and Kevin Aschenbrenner (associate publicist). Keegan was formerly senior PR manager of corporate communications at MCI Worldcom.
