DALLAS: Springbok Technologies last week announced the formation of
a healthcare division that will serve two existing clients and reach out
to prospects attempting to make their mark in the e-health space.
The practice will capitalize on Springbok’s hi-tech expertise and
provide a full range of traditional PR and marketing services as well,
according to healthcare division chief Lora Metzner. ’A growing number
of healthcare companies are finding ways to leverage the Internet to
better serve all their customers,’ she said.
Springbok, an expanding hi-tech PR shop based in Richardson, TX, already
has contracts with Claimsnet.com, an on-line insurance claims processor,
and Bergen Brunswig Specialty Healthcare, a pharmaceuticals distributor
’The formation of a new healthcare division is a natural extension of
our firm’s existing healthcare knowledge base,’ said Springbok president
Glenn Abel in statement.
Bernie Walker, VP of Springbok’s Austin office, and eight other
professionals in the agency’s Richardson office make up the new
healthcare team. Though this staff is already on board, Metzner expects
Springbok to hire more people as the practice grows.
The new division will target the health insurance, physician and
biomedical markets.
