The tiny Southern California shop announced that it has inked a contract

with the commercial products division of Ilco Unican, a Montreal-based

manufacturer of electronic access control systems. The second client win

- Sunnyvale-based Identix - makes hardware for identifying

fingerprints.

Both companies had previously handled all PR on an in-house basis.

According to agency president Tom Brigham, the goal for both clients is

’extensive publicity in the trades.’ He stressed that PR was the crucial

element: ’Although advertising creates awareness, PR drives demand in

this market.’
