NEW YORK - Publicity firm Harrison Shriftman, co-headed by two of the subjects of New York magazine?s article about young publicists, is continuing to make gains outside the events sector.

The NY-based firm, which specializes in celebrity events and luxury

product launches, has won six new clients since July and last week

announced plans to open a Los Angeles office.

Among the wins are fashion giants Hugo Boss, J. Crew and up-and-coming

denim company Earl Jeans.

All three accounts are likely to concentrate on gaining fashion and

lifestyle coverage.

Also on board is the Los Angeles celebrity hangout The Coffee Bean & Tea

Leaf and Internet fashion leader Styleshop.com

According to Lara Shriftman, the accounts were won following referrals

and recommendations, rather than competitive pitches. She declined to

reveal budget figures.

The firm?s LA office is set to debut with four staffers. The Earl Jeans

and The Coffee Bean accounts will both be based from the new

outpost.

Harrison Shriftman?s events division also announced it will coordinate

Glamour magazine?s Emmy award party.
