touted Hispanic web portal Quepasa.com.

Coupled with the agency’s other recent account wins in the sector - Data

Return, Integral, Buyingedge.com and UGO Networks - the acquisition of

Phoenix-based Quepasa.com as a client boosts the agency’s coffers by

nearly dollars 1 million. PepperCom was hired to service each of the

accounts for one year.

Ed Moed and Steve Cody, managing partners of PepperCom, attribute the

slew of new accounts to a partnership approach. ’This really resonates

with Internet companies, which are strategically focused to begin with,’

said Moed.

Moed added that the agency has been warmly received by dot-com companies

that have recently secured private equity rounds. ’After the first round

of financing, it’s much easier to get these companies the level of

exposure - whether before the media or the financial community - they’re

looking for.’

Peppercom has had its share of success with ’marrying’ clients as of

late, arranging such high-profile partnerships as Visa and VerticalNet,

Duke University with Ernst & Young, and GE Capital with the Institute of

International Research.

Earlier this year, the agency picked up dollars 500,000 in change from

new accounts GE Financial Assurance, Harvard Business School Press and

Nextel Communications.

As a result of the influx of new business, PepperCom has hired ten

staffers at the AE and supervisor levels this year.
