RFA names first 30 clients

RALEIGH: Richard French & Associates (RFA) has hit one out of the park with the naming of the first 30 clients in its new sports legends division. Notable signees include baseball hall-of-famers Phil Niekro and Gaylord Perry; Super Bowl winners Larry Csonka, Franco Harris and Lynn Swann; and basketball legends Bob Cousy, John Havlicek and George Gervin. Jay Wisse, group account director of the RFA’s sports marketing practice, said the agency will market the athletes to companies for corporate entertainment and personal appearances. ’These athletes embody the American ideal of athletic competition,’ he raved.
