LONDON: Recently launched music promotions company Inside Media has partnered with celebrity PR outfit The Outside Organisation, to create a music marketing behemoth.
LONDON: Recently launched music promotions company Inside Media has
partnered with celebrity PR outfit The Outside Organisation, to create a
music marketing behemoth.
The two companies will offer music artists and marketing directors a
full-service media strategy, bringing together Outside’s press expertise
and Inside’s music and radio contacts. Both companies will work from the
same office, but there will be no joint ownership.
’Traditionally, there have always been two distinct groups for
promotions: TV/radio, and press,’ said Inside director Tony Barker. ’We
want to bring the two together.’ The combined operation is planning to
bring in corporate clients and wants to attract more athletes as
Inside represents Madness, Iggy Pop and Skunk Anansie while Outside
looks after English soccer star David Beckham as well as Lenny Kravitz,
David Bowie and Aerosmith.
Rumors of the Inside-Outside alliance had existed for several months,
ever since Barker and Mick Garbutt, former heads of promotion at Virgin
Records, revealed their intention to set up Inside. But the arrangement
was not made official until this week.
