LONDON: Lingerie and sex-aids chain Ann Summers has appointed Rebecca Cox as its head of PR.
Cox, best known as the founder of ?ideas agency? Think Tank, is returning to work full-time after having beaten cancer. During her 18-month illness, she continued to work part-time at Think Tank, which has since been disbanded.
Cox assumes the title of PR and brand executive. She replaces Georga Douglas, who returned to her native Australia five months ago. At Summers, her responsibilities will include running the press office, managing corporate identity and doing publicity for CEO Jacqueline Gold.
?Our attitude and approach are very tongue-in-cheek,? Cox said.
Summers has 23 stores in the UK and opened one in Sydney last week, while three more are due to open in the UK and Ireland over the next month.
The firm also sells through self-employed ?party organizers.?
