CAMBRIDGE, MA: The Weber Group has promoted Kristen Holmes from account

director to VP. During her five years with the agency, Holmes has

managed accounts for Bell Atlantic Mobile, Gateway and Giga Information

Group.



SANTA CLARA, CA: Walt & Company Communications has added six new

clients, including several in the hi-tech sector: Adaptive Media, Evolve

Software, Labtec, Lara Technology, the Ronald McDonald House at Stanford

and SSH Communications Security.



NEW YORK: The PRSA Foundation has pledged dollars 1 million for the

first two years of its Kids in a Drug-Free Society program. PRSA

volunteers will coordinate PR campaigns for KIDS and recruit employers

to offer training programs for parents in the workplace.



NEWTON, MA: HomePortfolio.com, a home design products web site, has

tapped hi-tech PR and marketing firm JONA Group, based in San Francisco,

as its agency of record. The firm has been charged with building and

sustaining the HomePortfolio brand.



Founded in 1998, the site recently completed a dollars 20 million round

of funding.



CAMBRIDGE, MA: FitzGerald Communications has hired Jonathan Osmundsen as

an account manager in its San Francisco office and Lisa Cradit as an

account director in Cambridge. Osmundsen previously served as a managing

supervisor at Fleishman-Hillard, while Cradit joins the firm from BMC

Software, where she held the position of PR manager.



CHICAGO: Bolder Technologies of Colorado has named Wheatley Blair as its

PR agency and Lois USA as its advertising agency. The firms will work

together to launch Bolder’s offerings for consumers, which include a new

emergency engine-starting product.



BROOKFIELD, CT: Memry Corporation, which develops, manufactures and

markets medical devices and components, has retained Hawk Associates for

investor relations and financial PR support.



LOS ANGELES: Kearny Real Estate Company has appointed Lewis and

Associates as its PR and advertising agency of record for its new e-tech

center.



The facility’s technological infrastructure will be the focus of the

marketing campaign.



ATLANTA: Cohn & Wolfe has promoted Matt Coleman to client service

manager of the office’s corporate and hi-tech practices. Coleman, who

joined C&W from Fleishman-Hillard last year, will oversee the firm’s

BellSouth business.
