SAN FRANCISCO: The California State Automobile Association - the

American Automobile Association’s affiliate in Northern California,

Nevada and Utah - has restructured its corporate communications

department.

The group last week added well known local broadcast pro and diversity

specialist Rose Guilbault as VP of corporate communications and public

affairs, a new position for the 3.9 million member association.

Guilbault will play a key role in coordinating a new diversity

initiative the organization plans to roll out this fall, a perfect fit

given her background. She will also oversee all aspects of the group’s

public affairs presence, including community relations, governmental

issues and media relations.

Previously the editorial and public affairs director for San Francisco’s

ABC affiliate, where she also hosted a weekly community issues program,

Guilbault has a long history of Bay Area community and media

involvement.

While at the TV station, her department launched a ’Profiles in

Excellence’ series of salutes to minority heroes, and in 1991, President

Bush appointed her to the President’s Advisory Commission on Education

Excellence for Hispanic Americans.
