Iowa.

The former Senator and basketball great has hired Mo Elleithee to serve

as press secretary in NH and Maureen Monahan to fill the same role in

Iowa.

Elleithee, formerly press secretary for Rep. Tom Udall, boasts extensive

campaign experience, serving as Udall’s deputy campaign manager during

the last election. He had been acting director of communications and

field operations for the Interfaith Alliance from April 1997 to February

1998.

He joins the Bradley camp next Monday.

Previously a legislative aide to Nebraska state senator Shelley Kiel,

Monahan boasts less direct election experience. Last year, however, she

served as the press secretary for an Iowa Democratic congressional

campaign.

Another key addition to the Bradley squad is Jonathan Lenzner, currently

press secretary for the minority staff of the House International

Relations Committee.
