GOUDA: GCI Group has beefed up its presence in The Netherlands by acquiring Van Dantzig & Lichtenveldt Group (VD&L).

GOUDA: GCI Group has beefed up its presence in The Netherlands by

acquiring Van Dantzig & Lichtenveldt Group (VD&L).



A top-10 Dutch agency, VD&L had fee income of dollars 2.1 million last

year.



Combined with GCI Holland’s dollars 1.7 million operation, the

acquisition vaults GCI into the top five PR firms in the country.



The firm’s client stable includes Jaguar Nederland. Ed van Dantzig and

Thijs Stoffere will remain managing directors of the agency, which will

change its name to GCI/Van Dantzig & Lichtenveldt.



’Holland is a robust, dynamic market - it’s even larger than Italy or

Spain,’ said president/CEO Bob Feldman.



Recent figures from the Dutch Chamber of Commerce reveal more than 2,200

PR agencies in the nation, with estimated annual revenues of dollars 120

million.



Over the past five years, the number of Dutch PR firms and freelancers

has grown 80%.
