LONDON: Firefly has been selected over AugustOne, Hill & Knowlton
and Miller Shandwick to promote the first World Internet Forum, a summit
discussing the impact of the Web. The contract is worth about dollars
160,000.
The forum is being organized by project management firm Integrated
Communication Projects. The event has the backing of the government -
its date was delayed by a month so that Prime Minister Tony Blair would
be able to attend.
’This will bring together people from government, civil service and the
Net industry,’ said Firefly director Mark Mellor. ’It’s the first event
of its kind.’
