boutique, Coopers Iverson Marketing has snagged Qualcomm senior
marketing manager Carolyn Brown to head up client services.
While Brown’s jump to a 16-person, San Diego agency from a wireless
giant named one of Fortune’s ’Top 100 Companies to Work For’ may look
like a puzzling career move, it actually represents a return home for
her. Brown began her hi-tech PR career at Cooper Iverson in the early

the company’s consumer product division. According to Qualcomm corporate
PR manager Christine Trimble, Brown’s replacement has not yet been
In her new position at Cooper, Brown is responsible for heading up the
agency’s consumer hi-tech practice. She has also been charged with
overseeing all agency clients, which include Web Methods, InstallShield
Software and SBS Technologies.
Reporting to CEO Lorraine Iverson, Brown will also assist with agency
management and training, and emphasize professional-development
She is also expected to be an active participant in pitching for new
business, especially in the telecom and consumer electronics
Founded in 1990, Cooper Iverson was one of the first hi-tech firms to
take root in San Diego. Today, the independent agency has clients in a
variety of hi-tech sectors, including e-commerce, wireless networking,
industrial computing and enterprise software.
